An Osteria (Italian pronunciation: osteˈria), in Italy was originally a place serving good wine and simple local food. We decided to apply our experience in wine and food, opening this Osteria, with the aim to integrate the traditional Tuscan cuisine with the choice of having an organic vegetable garden, and imposing the strictest kosher certification**.
After four generations of restaurateurs, this is the 9th Tuscan restaurant of the family!
Meals of our Osteria are typical Italian/Tuscan and are mainly made with local organic products that can vary according to the season. For this reason, our menu can change from day to day, depending on the availability of fresh products from our garden, or from local producers.
**The restaurant is Halav Israel and Pat Israel, under the supervision of Rabbi Gadi Piperno, Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community in Florence. The Mashghiach is always present at the restaurant to turn on the fire, control the kashrut, and pours wines.
