Producton:
The Terra di Seta grappa was produced exclusively with fresh marc from the best Sangiovese, selected in the company for the production of Chianti Classico wine and organically grown. After racking and without being pressed, the grape skins were sent immediately to Nannoni Distillery (Paganico, GR), thus maintaining a significant percentage of humidity and optimum freshness. The marc was immediately distilled in selection, through a process of discontinuous distillation, in columns with a low degree and indirect steam; this type of distillation allows to keep the scents of fresh marc in the distillate.

“Nannoni” produces grappa for the most prestigious wineries of the whole Italian territory and the Pellegrini family gives the skins of their own grapes to this facility from three generations.

GRAPPA BIANCA
The white grappa Terra di Seta is transparent and clear. It is a grappa of great cleansing and immediacy, with an intense nose that immediately evokes hints of fresh marc. The palate confirms the olfactory sensations, remaining soft, not sweet and persistent, leaving a pleasant feeling of raisins.

GRAPPA RISERVA
This is a grappa from meditation. It was aged for a year in French oak barrels, and presents a visual inspection of pale yellow color with light amber tones. The aromatic evolution occurred during maturation in barrels is confirmed in the nose by the perception of delicate fruity and spicy. On the palate the grappa Reserve is warm, tasty and soft, confirming olfactory perception and maintaining a long and pleasant finish.

Although Terra di Seta wines are certified kosher, grappa doesn’t have this certification because it was distilled outside the company.
